Getting going

How does Walk to Slop turn movement into time?

By default, every two eligible steps earns one second of entertainment time. Walk to Slop shows the available balance on Today. Start a session when you want to use it. Your rules and daily limits can affect how much time is available. Steps used during Live Walk are excluded from banked step rewards.

Spendable time resets at local midnight; previous activity remains in Progress. A session uses elapsed clock time, including time when another app is closed. Ending a session early does not refund the time used to start it.

Do I have to block apps to use Walk to Slop?

No. Timer-only mode works without Screen Time access or an app selection. You can earn time and start a personal timer for your break. If you want optional guardrails, authorize Screen Time and select apps in the Apps tab.

My steps or balance have not updated.
  1. Open Walk to Slop and return to Today to refresh the latest available step data.
  2. In Walk to Slop, open You → Permissions and refresh permission status.
  3. Check Walk to Slop’s Health and Motion & Fitness permissions in iPhone Settings. Health permissions can also be managed in the Health app.
  4. Check your earning rules and daily cap. Background delivery is controlled by iOS, so a new walk may take time to appear.

If the numbers still look wrong, email us with your iPhone model, iOS version, and a description of the problem. You do not need to send health records.

What is Live Walk?

Live Walk is an activity session that responds to movement signals from your iPhone. If you have enabled optional app guardrails, it can keep a selected group available while you are actively walking. Use the on-screen status to check whether movement is currently being detected.

Stay aware of your surroundings. Stop somewhere safe before using your phone, and do not watch distracting content while crossing a road or operating a vehicle.

Optional app guardrails

My selected apps are not behaving as expected.
  1. Open You → Permissions and confirm Screen Time access is authorized.
  2. In Apps, open the relevant group and save your selected apps again.
  3. Check whether a session is active and whether the group is inside its configured schedule.
  4. If you want a session to finish now, end it from Today.

iOS manages Screen Time enforcement and background callbacks. Changes may not appear at the exact instant the app requests them.

Can Walk to Slop read my feed, messages, or browsing content?

No. Walk to Slop cannot read the content inside the apps you select. Apple provides privacy-preserving selection tokens for Screen Time controls; Walk to Slop does not decode them into readable app identities. The privacy policy explains the data Walk to Slop does use.

Apple Watch & Premium

How does Apple Watch earning work?

Walk to Slop Premium includes workouts you start on Apple Watch. Live heart-rate zones can earn time at different multipliers. Walk to Slop may use your date of birth from Health, when permitted, to estimate your maximum heart rate. These are estimates for a wellbeing feature, not medical guidance.

Completed Watch workouts are saved to Apple Health. Walk to Slop’s own progress ledger contains aggregate zone time, not a permanent raw heart-rate history.

My Watch is not showing my Premium status.

Open Walk to Slop on your iPhone and confirm Premium is active. Use Restore purchases if needed, then open Walk to Slop on the paired Apple Watch again. Make sure the devices can communicate and that Watch Health permissions allow the workout features you want to use.

How do I restore a purchase?

In Walk to Slop, open the Premium screen and choose Restore purchases. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase. A pending, expired, refunded, or revoked purchase may not provide an active entitlement.

How do I cancel a subscription or request a refund?

Manage or cancel your subscription in Apple Account subscriptions. Deleting Walk to Slop does not cancel a subscription. Apple handles billing and refund requests through Report a Problem.

Available prices, billing periods, and any eligible introductory offer are shown by the App Store before you confirm a purchase.

Your data

How do I export my Walk to Slop data?

Open You → Privacy and local data to prepare a JSON export. Review it before using the share sheet: it can include your daily totals, earning and spending records, sessions, rules, group names, schedules, and custom shield text. It does not include raw heart-rate samples, date of birth, selected-app tokens, or content from other apps.

The destination you choose controls any copy you share. An export is optional and is not sent to us automatically.

How do I delete my progress?

Use Delete local progress history in You → Privacy and local data to clear progress and session history. This preserves app-group and subscription configuration. Apple Health records and Apple purchase history are separate; manage those in the relevant Apple apps and account settings.

You can revoke Health, Motion, and Screen Time permissions at any time through Apple’s settings. See retention and deletion for details.
